Laughter Clubs..What..Why..How..Where..When?
Laughter-Clubs were started in India by Dr. Madan Kataria (www.laughteryoga.org) in 1995.
In North America and the western world, Laughter-Clubs are being popularized by Dr. Steve Wilson (www.worldlaughtertour.com). There are more than
6000 laughter parties in 60 countries. Dr. Kataria & Wilson have collaborated to promote the Laughter Clubs
throughout the world. Laughter Clubs are Non-Political,
Non-Religious, Non-Exploitive, Non-Perfectionistic, Non-Threatening, Non-Competitive. Everyone is welcome.

Laughter leads to
the use of both sides of the brain. This promotes creativity and productivity. Promotes team building. Healthy people take
less time off being sick. During high stress times (outages at the power stations) Laughter would reduce stress, leading to
safe and error-free work. Can be used to defuse high-tension encounters during meetings and project work.
Prescription:
Regular dose of Laughter for improved bottom-line A typical laughter club session consists of stretching and breathing exercises interspersed with a
variety of simulated laughter bouts. Laughter exercises combine it with Yoga techniques. A laughter session lasts about 20-30
minutes. There is no telling of jokes.
