Our Longest Living Matriarch

My esteemed Mother Rameshwari Devi Bhargava.

Mother is turning (87) years of age. For her age she is in incredible shape. All her physical and mental faculties are intact. She takes complete care of herself. Mother is a survivor. She widowed some 33 years ago. She is the longest living member of all the India based families.

When I look back at her life for clues to her longevity, these things stand out. She eats very little. Correction- she used to eat very little. Her faith keeps her going. There is longevity in her side of the family.

She is a source of inspiration to us. We can learn a thing or two from her about how to live a long and healthful life.

Mother lives in Bathinda, Punjab, India.
